House of Opportunities

Explore many different projects throughout the home, from flat roof and pitched roof extensions to a whole new world of loft living space!

Sitting in the sun

From the minute you step foot inside the Searle family’s 1920’s Bournemouth home you realise how spacious, bright and welcoming it is. So when they decided to build an extension, they knew they had to do so without interrupting its flow. The solution? Natural light.

Move through the house and carefully positioned glass doors invite you to explore. Follow the light and you soon reach the new extension at the back of the house.

This is no accident. When making the improvements Mrs Searle wanted to build a multi-functional room where the whole family would gather, to eat, entertain or even just relax and while away an afternoon.

The eight VELUX Roof Windows flood the room with natural light, creating a stunning sunroom effect. It’s no surprise that this has quickly become their favourite room in the house.

Work on their home was completed in time to make the most of the summer days. But it isn’t just the extension that’s been added.

Because of their growing family and the need for extra space, they decided to turn their converted loft from a storage area into a bedroom for their daughter Kate. Centre-Pivot VELUX Roof Windows were installed to bring in natural light and ventilation. As you can see it’s now a bright, functional room, which will add real value to the property.
